On January 22, HFU President Wu Chunmei held talks with Lou Yi, Senior Director of Corporate Culture and Communication Department of Volkswagen (China) and Shao Jian, Chief Human Resources Officer of Volkswagen (Anhui) to seek a new development for Volkswagen College.
President Wu introduced HFU’s development plan after its unveiling ceremony (HFU’s upgrading from college to university in essence). She said, HFU will cooperate with Volkswagen Group at a higher level to build Volkswagen College into a domestic renowned training base for new energy and intelligent network automobile talents with the “high-quality integration” strategy, namely, promoting Volkswagen College for cultivation of postgraduates, building an international teachers team, accelerating the construction of engineering ability training centers for the collaborative development of both HFU and enterprises and even local automobile industry, establishing the accreditation procedure for engineering professional and technical qualification certificates, optimizing the “dual-system” talent training to create a national “dual-system” standard with Chinese characteristics.
Lou Yi said, Volkswagen China will work hand in hand with HFU to deepen the construction of three programs of New Energy, Intelligent Manufacturing and Big Data, accelerate the implementation of engineering ability centers and enterprise internship training projects, and hope to set about postgraduate training in the programs of new energy battery technology and intelligent manufacturing.
Shao Jian introduced the establishment of technology companies by Volkswagen Group in Anhui province. Then he said, their focus will be on the industry-university-research cooperation and coordination especially in the field of new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, hoping to carry out school-enterprise joint projects for the purpose of further industry-education integration.
Volkswagen College, jointly established by Volkswagen, Hefei government and Hefei University, aims at cultivating applied talents for the automobile industry with the dual-system training mode.
